Oscar touch to Telangana song!

Popular Telangana song “Jaya Jayahe Telangana Janani Jaya Ketanam,” which has been chosen by the Revanth Reddy government as the state song, is going to get the Oscar touch.

The song, written and tuned by famous Telangana poet Andesri, will be composed and recorded by popular music director M M Keeravani, who won the prestigious Oscar award for his song “Natu.. Natu” from S S Rajamouli’s block buster film “RRR.”

The Telangana government roped in Keeravani to do the music for "Jaya Jaya He Telangana", which has been adopted as the state song in February this year.

The song will be released on June 2, the Telangana formation day.

The chief minister on Tuesday held a meeting with Keeravani, Andesri and others to finalise the tune. As Telangana is completing 10 years of its formation, the state government plans to organise the celebrations on a grand scale.

As the model code of conduct for Lok Sabha elections is still in force, the state government has decided to seek permission from the Election Commission of India for the public meeting.

The state song is likely to be formally unveiled by Sonia Gandhi at the public meeting.
