Now, Dacoity Case Against Akhila Priya!

Now, Dacoity Case Against Akhila Priya!

It looks like things are turning from bad to worse for Telugu Desam Party leader and former Andhra Pradesh minister Akhila Priya, who was arrested in alleged abduction of three persons related to Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in connection with Hafeezpet lands issue.

The Secunderabad court once again rejected the bail plea of Akhila Priya on the ground that serious cases were filed against her.

On enquiry, it was revealed that the Hyderabad police had filed yet another case against her under Section 395 of Indian Penal Code for indulging in dacoity.

This a serious offence and is non-bailable. If proved, Akhila Priya will have to serve life imprisonment. So, the local court at Secunderabad refused to grant her bail, since cases that might result in life imprisonment would not come under its purview.

Now, Akhila Priya has to move a fresh petition in the metropolitan sessions court in Nampally criminal courts complex. She is expected to move the petition on Tuesday. Till she gets bail, she has to be in Chanchalguda jail.

Meanwhile, her husband Bhargav Ram, who is A-3 in the case, moved a petition seeking anticipatory bail in the Secunderabad court. He is at present on the run and the police are on the lookout for him.
