The demand within the Telanagana Rashtra Samithi for making party working president and state IT minister K T Rama Rao to become the chief minister is gradually picking up in the party.
On Tuesday, it was the turn of outgoing Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Mayor Bonthu Rammohan to raise the demand for making KTR as the chief minister of the state at the earliest.
“KTR will definitely become the chief minister of Telangana at the right time and on appropriate context. He will ascend the throne only with the support of all the MLAs of the party,” Rammohan said.
The Mayor said he had prayed Lord Venkateshwara to give required moral strength and blessings to KTR to occupy the chief minister’s chair.
“It is my strong feeling that the time will come soon for the change of guard in the state and when the time comes, KTR will become the CM of Telangana,” he said.
To a question, Rammohan said there were no two opinions in the party about KTR succeeding his father K Chandrassekhar Rao.
“It is going to be a unanimous opinion and I prayed the god for giving enough strength to KTR to make Telangana a Golden Telangana,” he said.
