Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president and state IT minister K T Rama Rao on Friday defended his cabinet colleague Ch Malla Reddy abusing Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief A Revanth Reddy in foul language.
Malla Reddy used choicest epithets like “Saale,” “Kuthe,” and “Gaandu,” to attack Revanth Reddy for accusing him of being a land grabber and fake educationist and also for criticising TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
The minister thumped his thighs and challenged Revanth to resign from his Malkajgiri MP seat and win the by-election again. He claimed that the Centre had given clean chit to his Malla Reddy Group of Educational Institutions.
Malla Reddy’s abusive language went viral and drew flak from various quarters. When media persons asked KTR about the same, he said there was nothing wrong in what the minister said.
“He has a lot of josh and anger. He might have said something out of anger. What is wrong in it? There is a limit for everything. When every Tom, Dick and Harry speaks non-sense against KCR, how can anybody keep silent? Malla Reddy lost patience and shot back at him,” KTR said.
He said it was KCR who had strived for and achieved separate statehood to Telangana.
“PCC chief Revanth Reddy cannot be compared even to his toe nail. The Congress leadership could not find anybody else than a stooge of Chandrababu Naidu to appoint as the PCC chief,” he said.
Describing Malla Reddy as a gentleman, KTR said he had only given a retort to Revanth Reddy, who was making wild allegations against him.
“What Malla Reddy said was a tit-for-tat for Chandrababu Naidu’s stooge,” the TRS leader said.
