KCR's strategic move to appease strong leaders!

KCR's strategic move to appease strong leaders!

The announcement of the candidates' list by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for the upcoming assembly elections in the state has naturally stirred unrest among disappointed ticket aspirants for various seats.

However, in cases where KCR perceives potential trouble from leaders who did not secure tickets, he has promptly taken action to prevent dissidence.

He has done so by offering them various posts and positions, ensuring that the official candidates have a smooth journey in the elections.

The most recent example is the inclusion of senior BRS leader and MLC Patnam Mahender Reddy into the state cabinet. This move sends a clear message, signifying the party's commitment to recognizing the contributions of its vital members, addressing grievances, and fostering a sense of inclusivity among its ranks.

Similarly, former MLA from Palakurthy, Dr. N Sudhakar Rao, was appointed as the chairman of the Aarogyasri Trust. Vemulawada MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh, who was not retained as an MLA candidate, has been named the government advisor for agriculture.

Another senior leader, Goli Srinivas Reddy, has been nominated as the chairman of Telangana State Food Corporation. Senior leaders like Dasoju Sravan and Kurra Satyanarayana, who were strong contenders for the MLA tickets, have been nominated as MLCs under the Governor's quota.

"The MLA seats are not the ultimate positions in politics. There are other opportunities like MPs, MLCs, Corporation chairpersons, and other positions," KCR stated while announcing the party's tickets.

Even KTR, soon after the list's announcement, tweeted that there were undoubtedly some genuine and hardworking leaders who could not secure a spot on the list, and their services would be suitably acknowledged in one form or another.

However, this strategy has not worked for some leaders like Tummala Nageshwar Rao, Rekha Naik, and others who have realized that KCR won't entertain them.

Even leaders like Mothkupalli Narasimhulu, Bethi Subhash Reddy, Mynampalli Hanumantha Rao, and others have been ignored, as KCR knows that their revolt hardly matters for the BRS.

Party sources revealed that the ruling BRS is actively working to address concerns among the party cadre regarding their political careers by offering them alternative opportunities.

By providing capable leaders with opportunities to hold key positions, the party aims to retain and motivate its cadre, discourage defections, and promote unity.

The party leadership is reaching out to aspirants who did not secure tickets, assuring them that their contributions will not go unrecognized, sources added.
