KCR, just a 12th man in Modi-Rahul match!

After keeping silent for over three months following his defeat in the assembly elections, Telangana Congress working president and former Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy is back to his sharp attack on the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and its president K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Revanth, who was given the Congress party ticket for Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat last night, began his campaign immediately launching a broadside against KCR.

“It has been three months since KCR came to power for the second term. But he has done nothing in fulfilling his promises before the assembly elections,” he said.

In a sharp retort to the TRS working president K T Rama Rao’s call to the people to vote for: “Car, KCR and Delhi Sarkar,” Revanth said it was actually “Saaru, Caru and Bekaaru.” “This is how the government is functioning for the last three months,” he said.

The TRS working president accused the TRS leadership of trying to weaken the opposition parties by engineering defections, instead of focussing on fulfilling the promises made before the elections.

“He is indulging in dirty politics to divert the attention of the people. But his antics do not work for a long time and we will expose his wrong-doings,” he said.

Revanth ridiculed KCR’s claim that he would play a major role in national politics.

“What will he do at the Centre? He is like Gachibowli Diwakar who plays gully cricket. The present elections are a fight between Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi. If KCR goes to Delhi, he will only be a 12th man, who is confined to supplying drinks to the players,” he said, adding that KCR was trying to project himself as a big national leader, apparently to bargain for jobs his family members in Delhi.
