Kavitha says 'Jai Andhra'; YSRCP leader welcomes!

Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha, daughter of Bharat Rashtra Samithi president and former Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, visited Tirumala Venkateswara Temple on Thursday following the clean chit she got from the Delhi court in the alleged Delhi liquor scam case.

Kavitha arrived at Tirupati Airport in Renigunta along with her family before proceeding to Tirumala for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara.

Speaking to the media at the airport, she addressed several issues ranging from the clean chit in the liquor case to speculation about her launching a new political party.

In a notable gesture, Kavitha raised “Jai Andhra” slogans for the first time while addressing her supporters in Andhra Pradesh. She said the clean chit had brought relief after nearly four years of harassment.

“By God’s grace, I have finally received a clean chit in the liquor case after years of suffering,” she said, adding that her family had deep faith in Lord Venkateswara and that she had come to Tirumala to fulfil a vow.

Kavitha also expressed gratitude to her well-wishers in Andhra Pradesh who stood by her during the difficult period.

She further stated that she hoped to receive the blessings of the deity for the new political party she plans to launch soon.

During her visit, Kavitha and her husband were given a warm reception by senior YSRCP leader and former MLA Biyyapu Madhusudhan Reddy, who personally accompanied them for the temple darshan and explained the temple’s significance.

Large flex banners welcoming Kavitha were reportedly put up in Tirupati and Srikalahasti, featuring photographs of both Kavitha and K Chandrashekar Rao.

Sources indicate that Kavitha’s family and the family of Madhusudhan Reddy share a long-standing personal friendship, which explains the grand welcome extended to her during the visit.
