It's An Agitation By Real Estate Dealers!

It's An Agitation By Real Estate Dealers!

The ruling YSR Congress party in Andhra Pradesh has sought to playdown the agitation by the farmers of Amaravati, which entered 250 days on Sunday.

Senior YSRC leader and deputy chief minister Amzad Basha told reporters in Kadapa that the so-called agitation in Amaravati for the state capital was fake and stage-managed.

“There are no farmers and there is no agitation of farmers. Those who are making hue and cry are all real estate dealers,” he alleged.

Basha said most of the protesters at Amaravati at present were benamis of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu.

“The TDP chief is enacting a big drama in Amaravati. It is an artificial agitation being run by a mentally disturbed Chandrababu Naidu,” he alleged.

The deputy chief minister also accused the former chief minister of creating hurdles in the distribution of house sites to the shelter-less poor.

“The Jagan government has contemplated distribution of 30 lakh house sites to the poor and construction of houses in those plots. But Naidu is stalling the project by moving courts,” he said.

Stating that the TDP chief was an expert in managing all systems, Basha said the previous TDP government had not given even a single house site to the poor in its five-year term.

He also described the complaint made by Naidu to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on alleged telephone tapping as a shameless act.
