The sudden developments in ruling Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) over the past three days indicate that TRS chief and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao is preparing ground to sack health minister Etela Rajender from his cabinet anytime soon.
Etela is one of the few top leaders in TRS who remained with TRS since its inception and stood as a solid rock behind KCR during his turbulent times.
But then KCR is known for ditching anyone if he feels that he/she is of no use to the party in future.
The latest buzz in TRS circles is that KCR is now targetting Etela Rajender. KCR is said to have drafted a 'perfect sketch' to oust Etela.
A Telugu news paper "Mana Telangana" owned by a TRS leader carried a banner story against Etela on Saturday accusing him of 'leaking' confidential discussion held between KCR and district collectors at Pragathi Bhavan last week, to the revenue employees unions.
KCR convened this meeting to discuss on new Revenue Act and issued strict instructions to all not to leak the information to media or anyone later.
Mana Telangana paper published that Etela called revenue staff union leaders to his residence in Shamirpet soon after the meeting and told them all the details that were discussed in the meeting.
The daily said Etela told them that CM talked about abolishing revenue department, scrapping VRO and VRA system etc.
The daily said even Etela advised them to take up agitation programmes against CM's decisions immediately else the revenue department will vanish soon.
This report was apparently carried by Mana Telangana on the directions of KCR because a daily owned by a TRS leader cannot write negative about any TRS minister or TRS goovernment.
Etela was shocked to see this report in the daily and felt deeply pained at this.
Etela told his supporters that this was a conspiracy laid against him to oust him from minister post as well as TRS as he never disclosed CM meeting details but only helped an MRO's son to get financial assistance for treatment after they met him at his residence.
Etela is very upset at this and has been confined to his residence without meeting anyone since then.
Looks like, Etela is trying to get the support of his 'close friend' Harish Rao in these difficult times because Etela has been talking about how Harish and he worked day and night for 14 years in TRS to bring party to this stage and how they were being sidelined by KCR now.
