Hyderabad Gets World-Class Pet Hospital Chain

Hyderabad Gets World-Class Pet Hospital Chain

In a recent interview, Dr. Sree Reddy, Founder and Chairperson of Seven Oaks Pet Hospital, spoke about the rapid growth of pet parenting in Hyderabad and the vision behind bringing global-standard veterinary care to India.

“Hyderabad today has over two lakh pet parents,” Dr. Reddy said. “But for a long time, there was no hospital that truly matched international standards in infrastructure, diagnostics, and overall care.”

From the US to Hyderabad

Seven Oaks Pet Hospital was first established in the United States in 2007. By 2025, the organisation had expanded to seven hospitals across the US, all operating with uniform medical protocols and advanced technology.

Dr. Reddy and his wife, Dr. Sandhya Reddy, who is also the Co-Founder and Managing Director, initially began visiting Hyderabad for humanitarian work through the Hermione Duncan Reddy Foundation, focusing on stray animal welfare.

“We worked on water projects, feeding initiatives, and stray care programmes in collaboration with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation,” Dr. Reddy explained. “That involvement helped us understand the real gaps in pet healthcare here.”

It was during this period that the decision was taken to establish Seven Oaks Pet Hospital in India.

Jubilee Hills: A Landmark for Hyderabad’s Pet Healthcare

In 2024, Seven Oaks Pet Hospital opened its first Indian facility in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, as a 24/7 multi-speciality pet hospital. The centre marked several milestones in India’s veterinary sector, including being the country’s first privately owned multi-speciality pet hospital, the first fear-free certified pet hospital, and the first pet hospital equipped with a dedicated CT scan for animals.

The hospital features world-class infrastructure, advanced diagnostics, an experienced veterinary team, and premium boarding and grooming facilities.

“Every machine and diagnostic system used here is the same as what we use in all our seven hospitals in the US,” Dr. Reddy said. “There is absolutely no compromise on standards.”

Healthcare with a Social Mission

A defining aspect of Seven Oaks Pet Hospital’s India journey is its commitment to social responsibility. Dr. Reddy explained that the Hermione Duncan Reddy Foundation is the founders’ own non-profit organisation dedicated to animal welfare.

The foundation does not solicit public donations. Instead, profits generated from Seven Oaks Pet Hospital are channelled into its activities, reflecting the founders’ deep personal commitment to the care and protection of stray animals.

The response from Hyderabad’s pet-parent community was immediate and encouraging. Following the success of the Jubilee Hills hospital, Seven Oaks expanded to Kompally in 2025, and in 2026, a third branch is set to open soon in LB Nagar.

Seven Oaks Pet Hospital continues to stress the importance of responsible pet ownership. Practices such as proper nutrition, consistent training, and early behavioural correction are highlighted as key to a pet’s long-term health and well-being.

Along with advanced medical care, the organisation places strong emphasis on its veterinary teams, offering health insurance, structured benefits, annual leave policies, and clear career growth pathways. Through ESOPs, select team members are made stakeholders, reinforcing a culture where professionals are valued as long-term partners.

With a combination of global medical standards, social commitment, and a steadily expanding footprint in Hyderabad, Seven Oaks Pet Hospital is playing a significant role in shaping a more structured and advanced veterinary healthcare ecosystem in India.
