Clarification: My Home Group Not Exiting From TV9

Contrary to reports circulating in sections of the media, highly reliable sources have clarified that My Home Group is not exiting TV9, and termed the speculation as baseless.

Recent reports had suggested that My Home Group, headed by industrialist Jupally Rameshwar Rao, was planning to opt out of Alanda Media Private Limited, citing political polarisation in the media industry.

However, reliable sources have firmly denied these claims, stating that there is no truth in the reports and no discussion, formal or informal, about exiting the media business.

According to the sources, My Home Group continues to view TV9 as a strong and influential media network with a robust nationwide presence. They emphasised that the group remains fully committed to the channel and does not intend to dilute or exit its stake.

TV9 was acquired in 2018 through Alanda Media, a joint venture between My Home Group and Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited, which together took over a majority stake in the network. Since then, TV9 has expanded significantly across regional and national markets.

Sources said it is unclear how the exit speculation originated, reiterating that My Home Group’s focus remains unchanged and that the media venture continues to be an important part of its diversified portfolio.
