In a rather bizarre incident, a Telangana police officer turned up for duty in lungi and baniyan.
Irate over being summoned by his seniors immediately after having returned home, the officer- identified as one Tirupati- returned to work dressed in his home attire.
The video showing Tirupati pleading to his senior officers went viral. The video showed onlookers watching with astonishment.
According to reports, Tirupati, who is attached to II town police station of Karimnagar in Telangana had returned home at 8 pm on Friday.
He had just changed over from his uniform to his casual attire when he received a call to return to work.
Despite protests, his seniors forced him to return.
