Obscene Dances Trouble All Parties!

The obscene dances by some dance girls at a private function held at Bhimavaram in West Godavari district four days ago caused embarrassment to all the major political parties – the BJP, the YSR Congress party and finally, the ruling Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh.

A video clipping released by Andhra Pradesh Mahila Congress president Sunkari Padma Sri to the television channels on Friday showed the dance girls, some of them in revealing dresses, dancing on the stage to some sensuous Telugu numbers and making obscene gestures at the audiences.

The clipping also shows a girl moving among the VIPs making vulgar movements and collecting currency notes from them.

A BJP leader was also found holding the hands of the girl and dancing along with the girl, amidst cheers from the other audiences.

The event was the 27th anniversary of a local Youth Cultural Association and the chief guest was its president Gokaraju Venkata Narasimha Raju, brother of BJP MP from Narsapur Gokaraju Ganga Raju and YSR Congress party in-charge of Undi assembly constituency PVL Narasimha Raju.

Naturally, it was an embarrassment to the BJP leaders, who always shout from the rooftops about Indian culture and try to do moral policing during Valentine Day celebrations.

However, Padmasri also attacked the Telugu Desam Party for allowing such vulgar programmes just because the BJP is its ally.

She also dragged senior TDP leader and AP Mahila Commission chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari stating that she had not reacted on the issue, though she enacts dramas on the atrocities on women.

Nannapaneni, however, retorted strongly. She said she was ready for any debate on her activities and she would never support any of such obscene dances.

“The Congress leader should also come for a debate. I will prove how the previous Congress government encouraged such events in the past,” she said.
