Opinion: CBN Lost Basic Political Quality

Chandrababu Naidu displayed a lack of basic knowledge when responding to a question posed by a media person.

When a TV9 journalist asked him if he would continue the voluntary system in the state if he came to power, he failed to answer and instead expressed anger towards the reporter and the channel for asking such a question.

He replied, "How can you ask such a question? Do you have journalistic ethics?" However, there is nothing unethical about asking this question.

Furthermore, Chandra Babu issued a warning, stating that he would take strong action against the channel once he regained power. Is this an appropriate way to address the media? It appears that he has lost some fundamental qualities of a politician.

A regular politician would handle this question with ease. They may not provide a direct "yes" or "no" answer but would diplomatically respond by stating that they will address the question in due course, as they have a larger and better plan in the best interest of the people.

Alternatively, they could point out the existing loopholes in the voluntary system that need to be addressed. Instead of responding rationally, Chandra Babu lost his composure and shouted at the reporter.

In this era of social media, politicians' lack of intelligence is being exposed more frequently. Chandra Babu Naidu is revealing his inability to handle such normal questions with his irrational reactions.
