Completion of 100 days is a matter of celebrations, whether it is for films or a ruling party.
Of course, a film can be considered a big hit if it gets back its revenue within one or two weeks though it might not run even for 50 days.
But for a political party that comes to power, one cannot say whether it is a hit even after the completion of 100 days.
Same rule applies to Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao, who completes 100 days in office on Tuesday.
Though it is too early to judge his performance, one can say his 100-day rule is satisfactory, if not a mega hit.
The fact that KCR is heading the government in a newly-formed State of Telangana, itself is a reason for not giving him negative marks.
The new State has inherited both good and bad aspects of the previous governments that ruled the united Andhra Pradesh state till recently.
While he is a bit lucky compared to his AP counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu in terms of inheriting a well-established capital city and surplus revenue, KCR has also faced several problems in dealing with issues like power crisis, drought, huge burden of fee reimbursement scheme and of course, crop loan waiver issue. Yet, he has been able to handle the crisis with aplomb, one can say.
His initiatives like rebuilding the brand image of Hyderabad, dealing with illegal constructions with iron hand, maintenance of law and order in the post-bifurcation scenario and restoration of faith among investors have brought him bouquets.
At the same time, his ambitious plan of holding intensive household survey has drawn criticism from several quarters.
Yet, he is adopting a stubborn attitude. May be it will take some more time for his critics to unleash the attack on his rule.
