Hey, Naidu says people want his rule again!

Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu seems to be under the impression that the people of the state had done a big mistake by defeating him and still feeling the aura of power around him.

Speaking to media in Srikakulam on Monday, Naidu said the people were repenting for voting for the YSR Congress party led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to power. “They are now strongly desiring to see me as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh again,” he said.

One wonders how it would be possible for Naidu for even think that he could become the chief minister again. It is not even five months since Jagan came to power and there is still more than four and a half years to go for the next elections.

So, there is no way Naidu can become the CM now, even if one were to believe his words that they want him back in power.

The TDP chief is also trying to put up a brave front over the defection of several party leaders into other parties – the latest one being former minister A Adinarayana Reddy from Kadapa into the Bharatiya Janata Party.

“The TDP is not disturbed even if some leaders desert it. If one leader leaves the party, it will create 100 other leaders. As long as the Telugu people remain, the TDP will remain,” he said.
