Mysterious Heart Attack Deaths: Government High Alert

Over 20 people reportedly died from heart attacks within a single month in Karnataka’s Hassan district, sparking public concern.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah called the deaths alarming and announced a detailed investigation.

A special expert committee led by Dr. Ravindranath of the Jayadeva Institute has been formed to find the cause and recommend solutions. The panel is expected to submit its report within 10 days.

The Chief Minister also mentioned that this committee had earlier been assigned a similar task in February to examine sudden deaths among the youth and study any links to COVID-19 vaccines.

While stressing that no conclusions should be drawn without scientific evidence, he acknowledged that some global studies had raised concerns about vaccine-related heart issues. Siddaramaiah also criticized BJP leaders for allegedly politicizing the deaths.

To improve public heart health, the state has launched schemes like Hridaya Jyothi and Gruha Arogya for early detection and treatment.

The CM advised citizens to take chest pain and breathing issues seriously and seek immediate care.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to protecting lives and finding the root cause of these tragic deaths.
