In a surprising development, YSR Congress party on Monday extended its support to the proposed ‘bus yatra’ of power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan.
Senior YSRC leader and Rajya Sabha member V Vijay Sai Reddy said his party would wholeheartedly support the bus yatra of Pawan Kalyan, aimed at understanding the problems of the people.
“We shall welcome any such effort to know the people’s problems and highlight the same to question in the inefficient administration of the Chandrababu Naidu government. Our support is always there for Pawan,” Vijay Sai Reddy said.
Pawan, who is presently staying in Tirumala, is likely to kickstart his Grama Swarajya Yatra from Chittoor district, instead of Anantapur district shortly. Though it was originally proposed to launch the yatra from May 15, it might take some time to start the yatra.
Party sources say Pawan would mostly focus on highlighting the people’s issues and questioning the Naidu government, rather than attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party or YSR Congress party. Under these circumstances, YSRC extending support to Pawan has raised many eyebrows.
May be, it is a signal to a future understanding between Jagan and Pawan!
