Why This Favoritism CM Garu?

Why This Favoritism CM Garu?

Very cleverly, Nandamuri Balakrishna got tax exemption for Gautamiputra Satakarni from the Telangana government first before approaching the Andhra Pradesh government (his family govt).

That the AP government would give tax exemption to Balakrishna’s movie is a foregone conclusion but since it would look bad in people’s eyes, he approached the TS government first on which basis, tax exemption could be justified in AP as well.

Balakrishna seeking tax-exemption for his film is pure commerce but how can Chandrababu give the same to his brother-in-law’s movie? Is this not conflict of interest?

One cannot blame KCR here because KCR had declared earlier that tax-exemption would be given to all historical films. He had kept his word for Gunasekhar’s Rudramadevi too. But Rudramadevi was not given a tax-exemption by AP government. Why?

Poll and Discuss: Tax Exemption to GPSK justified?

On what basis can Naidu give this benefit to Satakarni now? Satakarni is an out-and-out commercial film and will Balakrishna do anything for the people of AP or Telangana from the proceeds of the film? Nothing!

Besides, tax-exemption is given after a movie releases. Without even watching the film, how can the governments dole out benefits like it is their ancestral property? And Chandrababu as CM has time to attend the audio launches of only Balakrishna and Nara Rohit movies.

Is he not the CM for all film industry people? How then should he conduct himself? Tax-exemption to Gautamiputra Satakarni is nothing but misuse of public office for personal gain.
