Why So Much Fuss On Appointed Day Now?

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee on Thursday fumed at Telangana Rashtra Samithi for playing 'mind game' on “Appointed Day” set to begin from June 2.

Speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday along with A Dayakar, TPCC spokesperson D Shravan criticized the TRS leadership for trying to create unnecessary hype on the "Appointed Day" for political mileage.

He found fault with the TRS for approaching the High Court to pre-pone the Appointed Day.

As President Pranab Mukherjee gave his assent on Appointed Day to begin from June 2 followed by Union Cabinet’s approval to form two States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to be functional, it is of no use to make such efforts.

Shravan alleged that TRS Chief K Chandrasekhara Rao was afraid of losing his MLAs. He suggested that the TRS should refrain from making “dirty politics” by seeking to advance the Appointed Day to May 17, a day after the election results are out.
