Why is Naidu so angry with TDP leaders?

Why is Naidu so angry with TDP leaders?

For the last two days, Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been talking tough with the party leaders. He suddenly started reviewing the party activities district-wise, starting with Anantapur.

He is not hesitating to pull up even senior leaders like Paritala Sunitha, Payyavula Kesav, J C Diwakar Reddy from Anantapur, Anam Vivekanand Reddy from Nellore, K Achen Naidu from Srikakulam and several other seniors from East and West Godavari districts.

He warned that he does not hesitate to take action against them, if they do not mend their ways. What is the immediate provocation for Naidu’s outburst against the party leaders including seniors?

According to reliable sources, the TDP supremo got hold of a survey conducted by former Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal on the prospects of the party if assembly elections are held now.

He correlated the survey results with that of his own intelligence survey and both of them are more or less same. And he realised that unless he takes corrective steps, the TDP is bound to lose in the next elections.

What did Lagadapati survey say? It says if elections are held now, the TDP will get just 63 seats, whereas YSR Congress party will get 112 seats in the assembly. Except in Srikakulam, Anantapur and Visakhapatnam, the YSRC will gain more seats than the TDP in all the other districts.

The ruling party is going to face the biggest debacle in East and West Godavari districts which contribute lion’s share to the assembly strength. So, Naidu started taking corrective steps to bail out the TDP from crisis!
