Biggest Movie In India With Rs 4000 Cr Budget

Filmmaker Namit Malhotra has revealed that the budget for the upcoming Ramayana duology will be a staggering $500 million (over Rs 4000 crore) for both films combined.

This massive investment makes it one of the most expensive Indian film projects ever attempted.

While the announcement has sparked excitement among fans of epic mythological storytelling, it has also drawn significant criticism online.

Many netizens are trolling the producers, questioning the viability and return on investment of such a colossal budget.

Critics argue that even Hollywood blockbusters struggle to justify such spending, especially with uncertain box office dynamics.

Despite the skepticism, supporters believe that if executed well, Ramayana could redefine Indian cinema on a global scale.

The ambitious project aims to deliver cutting-edge VFX and world-class storytelling, but only time will tell if this high-risk venture can live up to its promise and prove the trolls wrong.

While much buzz surrounds the budget, equal curiosity revolves around the film's casting and direction.

Nitesh Tiwari, known for Dangal is directing the duology, with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravan. Already a glimpse is released raking interest.

The film is set to hit screens on November 2026 during Diwali.
