The arrest of Nalanda Kishore, a Telugu Desam Party sympathiser in Visakhapatnam by the Crime Investigation Department sleuths for alleged derogatory posting in the social media against YSR Congress party general secretary V Vijay Sai Reddy and tourism minister Avanti Srinivas has triggered an uproar in the political circles.
Former minister and Telugu Desam Party MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao protested the arrest of his follower for simply forwarding the posting which had already been in circulation. So, the police started investigation into the origin of this posting in the social media.
Inquiries revealed that the posting had originated from a Kamma auditor working closely in the team of Sai Reddy, who has been a trusted lieutenant of chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing development of Visakhapatnam.
This auditor, taking advantage of being the auditor in Sai Reddy’s team made an attempt to do land grabbing activities in Visakhapatnam, but could not succeed because of Sai Reddy.
Inquiries further revealed that there is also another YSRC leader from neighbouring district behind this entire murky episode. This leader, who is holding a key position in the Jagan government, has been trying to gain complete hold over Visakhapatnam politics, but Avanti Srinivas turned out to be a big hurdle for him.
So, this gentleman joined hands with the Kamma auditor, who has been nursing grouse against Sai Reddy for not allowing him to do land dealings in Viskhapatnam.
Both of them together planted the social media posting, making wild allegations against Sai Reddy and Avanti, albeit indirectly, sources said.
These postings were shared by TDP activist Nalanda Kishore, who is now in CID custody. But the real culprits who generated the postings are hiding behind the power cutains!
