When any political party or leader writes a letter to the Prime Minister with confidential note, it remains a top secret unless the leader himself discloses it to media. There is absolutely no chance of the letter or complaint being leaked to media from PMO.
So, it was rather surprising how Andhra Jyothy managed to get the copy of the letter written by YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 17, complaining against two Enforcement Directorate officials who have been harassing Jagan and his family.
Forget the fact that the daily has distorted the facts by concealing the date of the letter, it is evident that Andhra Jyothy managed to get the letter from PMO.
How it could lay hands on the letter is an interesting point of debate. Sources said Modi is also very serious about the leakage of the letter.
May be, it got leaked to Radhakrishna through senior TDP ministers in Modi cabinet who have good contacts in the PMO or the home department authorities to whom Modi had forwarded the letter.
There is also a talk that Modi himself has leaked the letter to senior ministers like M Venkaiah Naidu to corner Jagan after getting the assurance that there would be no further nuisance to the Centre on the AP special category issue.
So, anything might happen any time in politics!
