Popular actress-turned-politician and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader M Vijayashanti’s latest tweet on Friday night taking exception to the talk of a secret understanding between the BJP and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has drawn pungent reactions from the netizens.
In a series of tweets, Vijayashanti said there has been a sustained campaign by the detractors of the BJP and anti-BJP media that not arresting KCR’s daughter Kavitha (in Delhi liquor policy scam) has sent a message into the people that the BJP and BRS had joined hands.
“These people have been saying that the sudden removal of brother Bandi Sanjay is part of the BJP-BRS conspiracy and it resulted in a rise in the graph of the Congress and fall of the BJP,” she said.
“What these people have forgotten is that if the BJP graph has come down, it will also result in the fall in the graph of the BRS. In such a case, the arrest of Kavitha is more essential for the BRS. So, will KCR demand the BJP to arrest Kavitha?” she asked.
Vijayashanti wondered why KCR had sent a battalion of the TRS leaders to Delhi and enact a big drama there, if he has an understanding with the BJP.
“Is it a big drama? In fact, the latest talk of the BRS coming closer to the BJP is a conspiracy of KCR. If it helps the Congress, it will ultimately help the BRS,” she pointed out.
Within hours of Vijayashanti posting the tweet, the netizens started pulling her up for trying to mislead the people.
“It is quite evident that the BRS and the BJP are same and it was proved with not arresting Kavitha. The appointment of Kishan Reddy as the BJP president is no doubt a favour to KCR,” said one netizen.
“Who should arrest Kavitha? It should be ED or CBI. Since they haven’t done it, people have realised that the BJP is going softer towards the TDP. That is why, the BJP has no place in Telangana. Yet, you people talk shamelessly,” said another follower.
“Madam, people of Telangana are very clever and have realised the BJP-BRS game plan. Removing Bandi Sanjay anna, not taking action in liquor case, nexus with YSRCP in AP have literally buried BJP to zero in South. In Telangana, it will be Congress or BRS,” another person said.
“Madam, you will be suitable for being a political analyst rather than a politician,” said another netizen.
“The time has come for your political sanyas. Please retire from politics and make a re-entry into film industry,” advised another.
