Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumanth Rao has hardly won any direct election in the last several decades.
All the time, he was eyeing only on the Rajya Sabha nomination, as he knew pretty well that he would lose the electoral battle.
But now, with the Congress high command declaring the Telangana State, Hanumantha Rao seems to be under the impression that he can win the elections now and who knows, if he gets a chance, he can even become the Chief Minister.
Speaking to mediapersons on Monday, Hanumanth Rao said he was being pressurized by his supporters to contest Assembly election from Amberpet.
He said he would obey whatever Congress president Sonia Gandhi directs him to do. He also said he would meet the family members of Telangana martyrs on March 19 and elicit their problems and do the needful.
