If the speculations doing rounds in the Bharatiya Janata Party are to be believed, its own party leader and MLC Somu Veerraju is behind the twitter war launched by power star Pawan Kalyan against Modi and the BJP on various issues.
According to the talk going on in the party circles, Somu Veerrajju is fretting and fuming at the party leadership for ignoring him and strengthening the bond with the Telugu Desam Party, though the latter was trying to crush the BJP.
He thought BJP president Amit Shah would make him as the AP BJP unit president, but thanks to intense lobbying by Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu, the party chose to continue good relations with the TDP and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Since then, Veerraju has been making critical comments against the party’s decisions. He was the only BJP leader who has been speaking against demonetisation move of Narendra Modi and has been expressing his resentment openly. That is precisely why he is said to be instigating Pawan Kalyan to go all out against the BJP.
Sources said the day is not far off when Somu Veerraju would break away from the BJP along with a large group to join Jana Sena and strengthen the party before the next elections.
However, he may have to think twice, since Pawan is attacking the BJP, but is not saying a single word against Naidu. Who knows he might as well become a pawn in Naidu’s hands!
