Vallabhaneni Vamsi is not in the good books of Chandrababu Naidu. That he is the best friend of Kodali Nani does not help things either.
However Vamsi is still in the TDP although maintaining a low profile these days. But he made some sensible comments recently regarding the ‘call money scam’ which might not be palatable to his boss Chandrababu Naidu.
“We should not club money- lending activities with the ‘call money’ scam. Money- lending is a different issue whereas call money scam is related to the sexual exploitation of women in Vijayawada.” Vamsi is absolutely right!
However, Chandrababu in order to protect the TDP functionaries in the ‘call money’ scam is rounding up money-lenders all across the state and trying to make it look like a state-wide racket.
Obviously, among money-lenders, there would be supporters of other political parties too. Thus, Naidu is trying to apportion the blame for his misdeeds to other political parties too. Vamsi’s comments run contrary to this agenda of Naidu.
