Telangana Rashtra Samithi MP from Nizamabad Kalvakuntla Kavitha, daughter of Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who took Vijayawada by storm on the first day of the National Women’s Parliament on Friday, has impressed everybody with her talk, including actor-turned-Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan.
Kavitha was the centre of attraction at the women’s conference. In fact, there were huge cut-outs of Kavitha all over Vijayawada and Amaravati, which surprised everybody as she was seen as a villain by the Andhra leaders during the movement for separate Telangana state. And when she spoke, the entire auditorium said Jai Telangana and Jai Andhra Pradesh.
After the meeting, Kavitha extended her support to the fight for special category status to Andhra Pradesh and said the Centre should fulfil its promise given in Parliament at any cost. She also assured that she would support the demand for special category status when it is raised in Parliament.
And Pawan Kalyan, who is away in the United States, expressed his gratitude to Kavitha for supporting the demand.
He tweeted: “My wholehearted thanks to Nizamabad MP “Sri Kavitha garu” for her wholehearted support to #APspecialcategorystatus (sic). Both AP and Telangana should show their solidarity and work together in resolving our people’s issues. United we stand, divided we fall.. JAI HIND.”
Instead of saying Srimathi Kavitha, Pawan referred to her as “Sri Kavitha.” May be he has seen a big hero in Kavitha for supporting the demand!
