Tirumala Ghee Inquiry: Political Media's Foul Game

Telugu media has become sharply divided, with political interests driving most reports instead of truth.

In the ongoing controversy over TTD’s sacred laddu prasadam, political forces seem desperate to gain mileage by spreading suspicious narratives.

It should be recalled that even the Supreme Court strongly reprimanded these baseless allegations and appointed an SIT committee to investigate the matter. The SIT is currently probing into the matter.

Former TTD EO A V Dharma Reddy was questioned privately by the SIT, but shockingly, details from the closed-door inquiry were leaked (?) within hours.

Pro-government and anti-government media published completely opposite stories.

While pro-government outlets claimed Dharma Reddy admitted acting under pressure, the opposition-linked media portrayed him as denying any wrongdoing, showing how facts are twisted to fit agendas.

As one observer put it, “It clearly looks like an attempt by TDP-allied media to project that the sanctity of Tirumala was compromised during YCP rule, and they are leaving no stone unturned to establish that narrative.”

"Even though TTD officials from the YCP era have been cleared of blame, the media’s mission seems obvious, to plant negativity in the minds of the public against YCP, nothing more. The truth, however, will only be known when the SIT’s official report and evidence reach the court", the observer concluded.
