They Talk The Same Talk, Walk The Same Walk

They Talk The Same Talk, Walk The Same Walk

There is a famous dialogue of Rajinikanth which goes as – ‘Devudu sasinchadu… Arunachalam patinchadu’.

Right now, Venkaiah Naidu and Chandra Babu’s behaviour is like that dialogue.

First, a story appears in Eenadu. Then, Venkaiah says it. After that, Chandra Babu says the same thing.

Well after seeing the coincidence one is bound to wonder if they read it and say the same thing or if Eenadu predicts what they are about to say.

If can recollect, it was Venkaiah who first talked about the capital being around Guntur. At that time, Babu was talking of Vijayawada. Later, the Assembly passed a resolution almost confirming Krishna district, but finally Guntur was confirmed. So, it is obvious that Babu has towed the line of Venkaiah.

Till recently, Venkaiah said that the capital would essentially consist of various offices of the state government. He particularly stressed on decentralization and everyone believed that. But today, a story appeared in Eenadu which says that the capital will have all the frills of a modern city.

After slogging through the day at work, people would want to have some recreation at pubs, bars, casinos, etc. So the new city will have them all including a Film City.

In short, Andhra Pradesh’s new capital will be a replica of sorts of Hyderabad. Well, goes without saying that by evening, Venkaiah was saying the same points.

He said the exact words that appeared in Eenadu. Added to that, he even threatened the farmers that if they resisted giving their lands, the capital would be shifted to Nuziveedu.

So, does Venkaiah mean to say that farmers in Nuziveedu would be happy to give their farm lands for land pooling?

But one thing has emerged from all this. The government plans to develop a centralized mega city. And if this city spreads across 10 lakh acres eventually, that should not come as a surprise.

And both Chandra Babu Naidu and Venkaiah Naidu are on the same wavelength on this issue.
