TDP moles in ED leaked news on Bharati?

The leakage of news about the Enforcement Directorate charge-sheeting Y S Bharati, wife of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, in the alleged quid pro quo case pertaining to Bharati Cements, is the handiwork of two officials closer to Telugu Desam Party headed by Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

This was pointed by Jagan, in an open letter to the people on Friday.

“I was shocked to read the reports in select media, obviously closer to the TDP, about my wife’s involvement in the case. I am surprised how the news got leaked before the court taking the ED charge-sheet into cognizance.

It clearly shows that somebody in the ED had deliberately leaked the info of the charge-sheet to the select media to harass me by dragging even my wife into the entire episode,” Jagan alleged.

He pointed out that he had submitted a representation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi almost 17 months ago about the conspiratorial role being played by two officials in the Enforcement Directorate – Umashankar Goud and Gandhi, on how they were harassing him at the behest of Chandrababu Naidu.

“I told Modi to order an inquiry into the role of these two officials. Their call data records would show how they were in touch with Naidu and other TDP leaders. Though one of them, Gandhi, was transferred later, he got extension thrice in the same post.

Before leaving the post, he has now leaked the news about Bharati in the media, just to please Naidu,” Jagan said.

The YSRC president alleged that the latest episode clearly established the fact that the TDP was still hand in glove with the BJP in conspiring against me.

“This is the kind of dirty politics Naidu has been indulging. I have been fighting relentlessly against whoever is there at the Centre and never done backdoor politics like Naidu,” he explained.
