Now that the alliance between the Congress and the TRS has fizzled out, the ruling party has decided to go all out to attract the people in a big way.
According to Telangana Congress Campaign Committee chairman Damodar Rajanarasimha, the party’s campaign would be kicked off by none other than AICC President Sonia Gandhi who would address at least four public meetings in Telangana region.
Rajanarasimha said that the venue and dates for the public meetings to be addressed by the AICC President were being finalised.
He said one of the meeting would be held in Hyderabad. He said lakhs of people are likely to participate in the public meetings wherein Sonia Gandhi would be thanked for granting statehood for Telangana region.
He said that the major credit for formation of Telangana of Telangana goes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the statehood cause.
However, KCR is trying to project himself as the hero of Telangana while ignoring the sacrifices of Telangana martyrs. He said people would teach TRS and KCR a fitting lesson in the next elections.
