Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has agreed in principle to introduce in syllabus the life history of AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi, who conceded Statehood to Telangana.
This was disclosed by Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Tuesday.
Participating in Sonia Gandhi’s 68th birthday celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, Ponguleti said, “The Chief Minister agreed in principle to our appeal. We are happy to note that the CM has agreed to our appeal to introduce important events of Sonia Gandhi’s life history as a lesson in the syllabus in Telangana schools,” he said.
“Sonia is known for keeping the promise of statehood to Telangana despite many hurdles and at the cost of her own party. We hope the TRS Government would honor Sonia in this manner”, he added.
