Sky High: Rs 12 Crores For Babu's Special Flights

There are reports that AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu has spent nearly Rs 12 crores on special flights during his present tenure. In fact, the story has mentioned that Babu has set a record of sorts by spending the said amount.

Well, if the figure is indeed genuine, then it is nothing short of sensational. It is being said that no chief minister flew in a special aircraft in the past. It is only Chandra Babu Naidu who spent so much money on air travel say analysts.

Be it a trip to Delhi or to other districts, Babu is no longer taking the regular flights. He is flying on crafts owned by Nayayuga, GVK and GMR. So, the amount he has spent on air travel has added up to Rs 12 crores it is said.

Meanwhile, there is another story doing rounds that Rs 3.5 lakhs was spent for floral decorations on the day Chandra Babu was sworn in.

While Babu has been claiming that the state is in financial crisis, he has not bothered to cut down on his expenses and continues to be extravagant. However, TDP leader Sambasiva Rao has said that since Babu is working day and night for the people of Andhra Pradesh, special flights are necessary to save time.

Now, there are doubts about the relevance of a circular passed by finance minister to all ministers asking them to cut costs.
