BJP leaders like Union Minister Kishen Reddy might say that the meeting has no political significance.
But, as AP former minister Kodali Nani rightly said, Shah’s meet with Junior NTR was for political mileage in the two Telugu States.
The parties are racing for the next round of general election. Telangana Assembly will have election in 2023.
Before that, by-election to the Munugodu Assembly constituency is likely to be held anytime in the next three months.
The BJP had won all two by-elections in Telangana ever since the 2018 Assembly elections.
BJP had first won the Dubbaka Assembly seat wresting it from the TRS followed by Huzurabad in the last two years.
Munugodu is likely to be the third Assembly constituency that is set to give victory to the BJP.
Munugodu is part of Nalgonda district, where the Kammas are considerably strong and most of them are migrated from Krishna and Guntur districts.
By meeting Junior NTR and having dinner with the actor, Amit Shah had sought the support of the dominant community in the impending by-election.
