At present, major land scams are rocking the Telugu states – Visakhapatnam land scam in Andhra Pradesh and Miyapur land scam in Telangana.
With every passing day, more and more sensational developments are surfacing from these land scams, involving big people from the ruling Telugu Desam Party in AP and Telangana Rashtra Samithi in Telangana.
Unfortunately, neither Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu nor his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao has been effectively dealing with the land scams, for the simple reason that they involved the ruling party leaders. This is the common feeling of the people of Telugu states.
According to the latest poll conducted by Greatandhra.com, nearly 50 per cent of the people who participated in the opinion poll felt both Naidu and KCR were protecting their party leaders involved in the scam, rather than effectively dealing with the land encroachments.
Out of 4,231 voters who took part in the opinion polls, 2,173 people expressed view that Naidu and KCR had failed to deal with the land scam effectively and were shielding their party leaders.
While 1,011 people (23.18 per cent) felt that KCR was handling the Miyapur land scam issue effectively, only 893 voters (20.47 per cent) said Naidu was also effectively dealing with the Vizag land scam.
Only 285 people (6.53 per cent) said both were sincerely trying to find solution to the land scams.
