SC Effect: Telangana MLA In AP Assembly!

SC Effect: Telangana MLA In AP Assembly!

The sudden appearance of Telangana Telugu Desam Party MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah in the lobbies of newly-constructed Andhra Pradesh assembly complex on Monday afternoon has surprised many people.

Venkata Veeraiah is one of the three TDP MLAs left in Telangana and he is not very active in the Telangana assembly.

After his name cropped up in the sensational cash-for-vote case, he has virtually remained silent, unlike his colleague A Revanth Reddy, the prime accused in the case, who shoots his mouth off at Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Veeraiah had a brief meeting with TDP president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and is learnt to have discussed the fall out of the cash-for-vote case which was reopened by the Supreme Court on Monday.

Since the Governor has already submitted a dossier to the Centre on the case, Veeraiah fears he might become a scapegoat in the case. So, he reportedly sought the help of Naidu in wriggling out of the case, say sources.
