Tennis star and Telangana sports ambassador Sania Mirza broke down into tears while talking to media.
Sania was emotional throughout the press meet and said that she was born Indian and will die as an Indian.
Leaders like Hanumantha Rao and Lakshman etc questioned Telangana government after the TRS ministers appointed Sania Mirza as the brand ambassador.
Most of them said that Sania never spoke about Telangana martyrs; she was invisible when the attacks were made on Hyderabad (Gokul Chat).
Till some days back, people have even forgotten that Sania Mirza is a Hyderabadi and she has become a Pakistani after marrying Shoaib Malik, said some of the leaders.
However, many BJP and Congress leaders came in support of Sania Mirza and said that the government has done right thing by appointing her as the sports ambassador of Telangana.
