YSR Congress party’s Rajya Sabha member V Vijay Sai Reddy on Friday announced that he would give privilege notice to Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for using derogatory words against the Prime Minister’s Office.
Sai Reddy was referring to the comments made by Naidu that the PMO was harbouring people facing criminal charges.
Recalling Sai Reddy’s assertion that he would continue to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi till he (Naidu) was thrown behind bars for alleged acts of omissions and commissions, the chief minister wondered what message the PMO was giving by entertaining such a person.
Naidu even went to the extent of saying that PM, if he wanted, could even allow Sai Reddy to do “kapuram” (marital life) in the PMO.
“This is nothing but denigrating the office of the PMO. Casting aspersions on the PM is nothing but breach of privilege of the House. That is why I am going to serve him a privilege notice on Naidu,” Sai Reddy said.
