Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy, who resigned from the Telangana Telugu Desam Party and also his assembly membership on Saturday, does not want to waste time in deciding the future course of action.
Without much dilly dallying, Revanth has decided to join the Congress party in the presence of AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi in the party office on Tuesday at 12.30 pm.
It is an auspicious day – Karthika Shuddha Ekadasi – a favourite day for Lord Siva and a good muhurtham.
This was announced by none other than AICC in-charge of Telangana R C Khuntia in Hyderabad.
He said Revanth was joining the Congress party without any conditions and nobody had been opposing his entry into the party.
Asked what position he would be given in the party, Khuntia said in the Congress party, posts and positions would come in tune with the performance of the leaders.
TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy said there would be large scale influx of the leaders and cadre from other parties into the Congress in the next 10 days.
“People have started feeling that the Congress rule was much better the present TRS regime,” he said.
