Revanth Episode Exposed Naidu's Dirty Politics!

Revanth Episode Exposed Naidu's Dirty Politics!

It has been more than two weeks since Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy resigned from the Telugu Desam Party and joined the Congress party.

Though he claimed to have submitted his resignation from the assembly membership as well, it has not reached the assembly speaker till now, nor has TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu made any statement on it.

Initially, the Telangana TDP leaders wanted to make Revanth’s resignation drama a big issue. They ridiculed him for not submitting the resignation letter to assembly speaker S Madhusudhana Chary.

They even told Naidu that they would move a disqualification petition before the Speaker against Revanth for joining the Congress party without quitting the MLA post.

But sources said Naidu reportedly instructed Telangana TDP leaders not move any disqualification petition against Revanth, but maintain silence. As a result, they decided not to insist on Revanth’s disqualification and the defected MLA also has remained silent about his resignation drama.

This clearly shows Naidu’s dirty politics. He knows that if the TDP leaders make an issue of Revanth, he would have to be answerable on admission of defected YSRC MLAs into the TDP without asking for their resignation.

Secondly, he should also give an answer as to why he is not insisting on the resignation of other TDP leaders who jumped into the TRS in Telangana.

Moreover, the TDP is not going to gain anything by moving this petition. It has no stakes even if there is by-election to Kodangal in the wake of Revanth disqualification.

The Speaker is also unlikely to take a call on such petition as similar such disqualification petitions are already pending before the speaker.
