The Telangana government under Revanth Reddy is facing criticism for favoring media houses seen as pro-TDP and pro-Chandrababu Naidu.
The issue came to light when official advertisements about new ration card distribution were given only to two newspapers like Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy. Both are seen as sympathetic to Chandrababu Naidu and have roots in Andhra Pradesh.
This move raised eyebrows, especially among Telangana supporters and BRS leaders. They question why a Congress-led Telangana government is acting in a way that seems to support pro-TDP media.
Critics say this gives the impression that Revanth Reddy is still close to Chandrababu Naidu, a claim that has followed him politically for years.
The government’s decision not to give ads to other major papers like Sakshi, Velugu, or Andhra Prabha — some of which are more neutral or Telangana-focused — only strengthens these doubts.
Even the Congress minister’s own paper, Velugu, was left out, causing confusion.
This selective promotion makes people ask if this is truly a Telangana government or a shadow of a TDP model?
The media strategy not only invites political damage for Revanth but also strengthens the idea that the Congress government is dancing to Chandrababu’s tune.
Revanth Reddy needs to take a serious look at this perception. In politics, even small decisions like ad placements can carry big meaning — and long-term consequences.
