Pawan to be Andhra CM for four days?

If the talk going on in the social media is to be believed, Jana Sena Party president and Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan is likely to designated as acting chief minister of the state for a period of four days.

According to these speculations, Pawan Kalyan will hold the responsibilities of the chief minister of the state between July 26 and 30, as Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be on tour for Singapore during this period.

Normally, in such a short tour, there will be no such interim arrangement for designating a cabinet colleague as acting chief minister, but the speculations are going on that Naidu wanted Pawan Kalyan to take up the responsibility.

It is not immediately known how far this speculation is true and whether Pawan Kalyan has accepted the proposal, but it has definitely kicked up interest on social media circles

According to official itinerary, a high-level delegation of the Government of Andhra Pradesh led by Naidu is going on an “exposure and networking visit” to Singapore from July 26 to 30.

The delegation comprises Ministers Nara Lokesh (IT, Electronics & Communications, Real Time Governance, and HRD), P. Narayana (Municipal Administration & Urban Development), and T.G. Bharath (Industries & Commerce and Food Processing).

Secretaries Bhaskar Katamneni (ITE&C), N. Yuvaraj, and Kartikeya Misra (CMO); AP Capital Region Development Authority Commissioner K. Kannababu; and AP Economic Development Board CEO C.M. Saikanth Varma will also accompany the chief minister.

Naidu and his team would focus on engagements with political, institutional, and business leadership in Singapore to explore the possibilities of collaboration and learning in areas such as urban planning, city beautification, gardening, ports, and other logistics infra.
