Ready to join Jagan to solve issue: Pawan

Visakhapatnam: In what could indicate a major shift in the political landscape of Andhra Pradesh, Jana Sena chief and film actor Pawan Kalyan said he would not hesitate to join hands with YSRC chief Jaganmohan Reddy to fight the decades-old Uddanam kidney disease issue.

He was speaking at a symposium on Uddanam nephropathy organised by Jana Sena, in which experts from Harvard Medical School, King George Hospital, Andhra Medical College, Andhra University and other premier institutions took part.

“I don't want to gain political mileage through the Uddanam issue. For the larger interests of the people, I will go to any extent. Even if YSRC was in power now, I would have taken the same approach on Uddanam kidney diseases. If the state government doesn't help in solving the issue, then people of the state will know whose side I am on,“ said Kalyan.

Pawan also praised the Harvard team -Dr Joseph Bonventre and Dr Venkata Sabbisetti -for coming from the US to Visakhapatnam for the cause.
