Pawan Met KCR To Save Drug Mafia?

The sudden meeting between power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan with Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan on Monday night has created a lot of buzz in the political and media circles.

While there have been a lot of speculations about the actual agenda of Pawan in meeting KCR, the way the power star showered praises on KCR and described him as a role model for many other chief ministers in the country has not gone down well with KCR’s detractors.

Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram said the meeting clearly showed KCR’s real love towards Telangana.

“Those who had strongly opposed Telangana formation had become dearer to KCR, while those who strongly fought for Telangana had become enemies,” he said.

Senior Congress leader and former MP V Hanumantha Rao went a step ahead and attributed motives to Pawan.

He said the power star might have met KCR only to save the drug mafia in Telugu film industry who are facing the threat of being exposed.

"I had my own doubts when Pawan and KCR met at Raj Bhavan few days ago. TRS Government must reveal why the charge sheet wasn't filed in Calvin's drug case,” he said.

He also found fault with Pawan’s praise for the power supply scheme of KCR.

“If Pawan has the guts, he should accompany me to meet farmers so that he will know about their plight," VH said.
