Pavan Scared Of Political Journos?

Pavan Scared Of Political Journos?

Power Star Pavan Kalyan has learnt the art of talking in different tones while interacting with journalists.

He appears to be more comfortable in speaking to film journalists than political journalists, with whom he tries to be a little cautious and choosy in answering their queries.

Especially after the fiasco of addressing media persons during the recent violent Kapu agitation taken up by former minister Mudragada Padmanabham, the Jana Sena party president has decided to keep the political journalists at bay.

During the agitation, Pavan cancelled his shooting schedule in Kerala and rushed to Hyderabad just to address a press conference, where he fumbled in answering several questions from the media. In the process, he also incurred the wrath of the Kapu community.

So, on Saturday, when he called for a press conference to brief about the audio release function of his latest film Sardar Gabbar Singh, he ensured that there were only film journalists. Yet, there were a couple of politics-related questions at the conference.

When a journalist asked his reaction about the threat of Mudragada Padmanabham to relaunch the agitation for Kapus, Pavan felt a little embarrassed and asked whether the scribe was a film journalist or a political journalist.

“I don’t want to talk about politics now. This is meant only for audio release function of my film,” he said.

There was another question as to whether there was any truth in the rumours that he was quitting film industry to take active role in politics. Here again, Pavan felt uncomfortable. He said the rumours were wrong and he had never said so.

“But quitting films does not necessarily mean taking active role in politics. In any case, I am not quitting film industry,” he clarified.
