Ruling TRS received a jolt while Oppostion Congresss got a shot in the arm ahead of crucial Warangal Lok Sabha bypoll with Osmania Students JAC (OUJAC) and Telangana Students JAC (TSJAC) extending support to Congress nominee S.Rajaiah.
OUJAC, TSJAC spearheaded Telangana statehood agitation between 2009 and 2013 and played a crucial role in TRS forming the first government in Telangana State by extending full support to TRS in 2014 elections.
The student JAC leaders met TPCC chief N.Uttam Kumar Reddy on Sunday and extended their support to Congress in ensuing elections.
They lashed out at TRS government and Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao for ignoring students and unemployed after coming to power on whose sacrifices Telangana State was achieved.
They alleged that KCR was deliberately neglecting the state universities by not appointing vice chancellors and filling posts in universities with a malafide intention of making higher education inaccessible for poorer sections.
The student JAC leaders said it's shameful that none of the universities in Telangana have a VC at present and asked whether is this the Telangana for which they have fought for by sacrificing their lives and careers.
They said they will tour all the seven Assembly costituencies in Warangal Lok Sabha segment and expose the misrule of KCR government and how he cheated all the sections with his false promises during 2014 elections that he will fill one lakh government posts, provide 2BHK houses for all the poor and free 3-acre land to all dalit families etc.
