Only talk, no action on farm loan waiver!

The Telangana government continues to make tall claims over the waiver of crop loans, but so far, the scheme has not come into action.

Information Technology Minister K Tarakama Rao on Wednesday said that the State Government was firm on waiving off weavers' loan up to Rs 1 lakh each.

He said that the TRS Government would waive off the loans of weavers and it would cost nearly Rs 15-20,000 crore on the State's exchequer.

He said that the governement was taking all measures to support the weavers in the State. He said there were nearly 50,000 people are associated with about 36,000 power looms in Telangana.

However, Bharatiya Janata Party leader N Indrasena Reddy attacked the TRS government for its false promises on crop loan waiver.

He said Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was changing his words daily on waiving of loans of farmers.

He alleged that KCR is delaying waiving of loans by stating lack of staff. He wanted to know whether survey was important or waiver of loans to farmers.
