The TDP in Telangana continues to receive shock after shock from its own MLAs. Even the presence of TDP chief and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu at NTR Trush Bhavan in Hyderabad on Thursday failed to stop defection of its MLAs to ruling TRS.
Narayanapet TDP MLA Rajender Reddy in Mahabubnagar district quit TDP and joined TRS.
Shockingly, Rajender Reddy attended TTDP meeting convened by Chandrababu on Thursday evening at NTR Trust Bhavan, where he took oath along with remaining five MLAs that they will not defect to other parties.
After taking oath, Rajender Reddy drove straight to TRS leaders Harish Rao and Tummala Nageshwar Rao and offered to join TRS. He was admitted into TRS immediately.
Rajender Reddy is the 10th MLA from TDP to have joined TRS so far out of 15 MLAs TDP has got in Telangana.
These 10 defectd TDP MLAs are now planning to submit a petition to Speaker Madhusudhana Chary to recognise them as a separate group and allow their merger into TRS.
